Twenty-three year old boxer Deontay Wilder is the 2008 Beijing Olympics Bronze Medalist. He was the only boxer on the United States team to win a medal in Beijing. He's the first boxer born and trained in Alabama to make the Olympic team.

He's only been boxing three years and in that time he's won the National Golden Gloves Title, the USA Boxing National Title, the Olympic Trials National Title and the Bronze at the Beijing Olympics. He did all of this with only 30 total bouts of experience, which has never been done before in the history of boxing.

The 6'7" heavyweight is a product of Central High School in Tuscaloosa.

He has signed to turn pro with Shelly Finkel and Jay Deas as managers and Golden Boy Promotions as his Promoter. His next goal is to become the Heavyweight Champion of the World!!
